Description: These are the trails that longtime Perry River Resident Peter Jennings (90 years old) and friend Gerald King have spent the last 40 years working on. Peter has recently handed this 51 acre parcel of land over to the CSRD to turn into a regional park. Plans are in place this summer (2014) to develop the park and open it to the public. Very exciting stuff! Click on the PDF’s below to read more about the area and its incredible history.

Directions: Drive west on Highway 1 until you get to the Skyline Gas Station. Just past the station look for the Perry River West Road on the right. For the most southern trailhead follow this road until you get to the first Y and take the right onto Avoca West Road. Follow this to the end and pick up the trailhead. For the northern trailhead follow the Perry River West Road for 1.6 km until you come to a pullout on the right. Park here and pickup the trailhead. 1. Thanks for all the work and info Ben!
I just went to check and see all the work the CSRD has put into Peters trails. It is absolutely stunning and such a fun network of trails!! There’s a beautiful loop you could do in 1.5- 2 hrs. A lot of variety in terrain, from glacier river (perry), streams, cliffs, hemlock groves, wet lands. Absolutely loved it.
