Hey
I am hoping to do this traverse this summer, I was looking into taking the mountain bike as i’ve been told it is doable by bike.
Does anyone have any information on it? How long? GPS co-ordinates, elevation gain and how rideable is it?
Hey daniel I hiked to ghost peak (near cartier) from RMR today and can certainly say a bike would just slow you down. Not to mention you would have to get your bike up mount mackenzie without a gondola to use (no mtbs on the gondy). It is about 8km from the top of upper gondola to the basin between cartier and ghost and then another ~2km up cartier with significant vert gain. The whole ridge over to there is undulating and often rocky and steep. There is some nice meadows but I doubt you would be happy with a bike. -Jaron
