We tried this bushwhack last September very unsuccessfully. The old trail/road is very overgrown and machetes don’t help much. So last weekend we tried a different route. We kept going on the old side road until we got to a dug out culvert and parked the jeep. Walked to the end of the road and headed up an avalanche chute. There wasn’t too much new growth to get through and we made it up to the snow, put snowshoes on and went a little further. This way is much more possible to reach the top, but you have to go before it gets overgrown in the summer and bring snowshoes.
