Description: The dirt trails that are adjacent to the paved Greenbelt. A lot of effort was put into establishing this network of trails years ago. They are a good option if you want an alternate approach to the new pedestrian bridge.

Directions: Could be accessed from either the Vernon Avenue trailhead or the Illecillewaet River Bridge trailhead. Best from the Bridge.

    1. Good question Julie. My guess is the actual dikes have been there for a very long time. The paving of the Greenbelt dike probably happened sometime in the late eighties. If you find out let us know.
