Rating: ? stars.
Difficulty: Difficult, likely overgrown.
Distance: 8 km to Jade Lakes.
Description: Another abandoned trail identified on older maps. This one likely put in by Parks Canada back in the day. This trail follows the east side of Clachnacudainn Creek all the way up to Jade Lakes. Sure would make a pretty cool circuit to hike down from the Lakes back to the Trans Canada.
Directions: Head East from Revelstoke on the Trans Canada. Pull into the parking lot at the west entrance of Mount Revelstoke Park. Walk back toward the Creek and start scratching around for the trail. I am told that this trail does still exist and apart from a lot of blowdown is in relatively good shape. As soon as it start to cross avalanche paths it is likely to be a no go. Try it out and let me know.
